Set in the 1930s, Murder on the Orient Express invites viewers aboard a luxurious train traveling from Istanbul to Paris. When a wealthy passenger, Samuel Ratchett, is found murdered in his compartment, the eccentric detective Hercule Poirot must solve the case before the train reaches its destination. As Poirot interrogates the passengers, secrets unfold, and tensions rise, leading to a thrilling conclusion that will keep audiences guessing until the very end.

ATORT Theatre is proud to feature an ensemble of dedicated performers who have worked tirelessly to bring this production to life. Under the direction of James Ball and assistant director Stephen Renard, the cast has embraced the challenge of portraying Christie’s rich characters and the intricate dynamics that bind them together. “This adaptation captures all the suspense and intrigue of Agatha Christie’s original work, while infusing it with a fresh energy that will resonate with our audience,” says James Ball.

Led by our new technical director and stage craft teacher, Katie Hall, the creative team behind the production has also worked diligently to craft a visually stunning set, with intricate details that transport viewers back to the golden age of train travel in the 1930’s. The use of period costumes, led by Mingus Alumni Beth Bates-Kessel, will further enhance the experience, allowing the audience to immerse themselves in the world of 1930s Europe.

Tickets for Murder on the Orient Express are affordably priced at $8 for students, $12 for seniors, and $13 for adults. Please note that all tickets purchased at the door will be an additional $3.
